The Health Curriculum "addresses how contextual factors influence the health, safety, wellbeing, and physical activity patterns of individuals, groups and communities". Through a strengths based approach, students "develop skills, self efficacy and allows students to "positively influence, their own and others’ health and wellbeing". Furthermore the promotion of "physical fitness, health body weight and psychological wellbeing" increases the likelihood of prosocial behaviour in enhancing one's on health and wellbeing, leading to a reduction on chronic disease.

VCE Health and Human Development
VCE Health and Human Development "provides students with the skill and knowledge to make informed decisions about their own health and the importance of health and society". Through this course students will analyse health and individual human development in Australia and on a global scale across all stages of the lifespan. Students "actively participate" in making choices surrounding good health and seeking advice.
